Q: I have agreed, as goodwill, to support a widowed aunt on a monthly basis. What are my rights here? What if I wish to stop sending financial support to my aunt at some point (or skip sending money for a few months and resume after)? Will it be sinful if I don’t send money to her at times? I don’t have plans to stop financial support and wish to always send her this monthly amount (as sadaqah) but I just want to know.
