Do I have to mention all faults of a car when selling it or is responsibility on the buyer to discover any faults?

Q: Do I have to mention all faults of a car when selling it or is responsibility on the buyer to discover any faults?

الجواب حامدا ومصليا ومسلما ومنه الصدق والصواب

A: If the wear and tear is normal for the age of the car then the seller is under no obligation to point out its faults. However, if the wear and tear is more than normal or there is a specific fault with the car then where the buyer expects the car to be roadworthy the seller is obliged to mention the specific fault if he has knowledge of it.
